The Soppeng Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is holding the 2024 Village Potential Officer Training (PODES) which will take place in a hybrid manner, namely online and offline. This training is part of important preparations for collecting Village Potential data (Podes) which will be used as a basis for regional development planning and to support various government programs.
Online training was held on April 25-26 2024, while an offline training session was held on April 29 2024. The training material covered various aspects of Podes data collection, starting from villages, sub-districts, to data inspection and monitoring. Apart from that, role playing or interview practice was also carried out to ensure officers were skilled in carrying out field duties.
This training activity was attended by ten Field Enumeration Officers (PCL), four Field Inspection Officers (PML), one regional instructor, and one committee. The training instructor came from BPS Soppeng Regency, namely First Statistics, S A Herdiana Putri, S.Stat. The material presented included Podes 2024-Village Blocks IX-XVI, Podes 2024 – District, and methods for monitoring/examining Podes data at the sub-district level.
This training closed with a post-test and in-depth evaluation to ensure that all participants understood and were ready to carry out their duties well. It is hoped that with this training, the data collected will be accurate and can be used effectively to support independent and sustainable village development planning.
With comprehensive Podes data, it is hoped that village development can be more focused and effective, in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. The village government as the subject of development will have a strong footing in planning and evaluating policies, so that it can improve the welfare and quality of life of the village community as a whole.
This training is an important first step in accelerating village development, which is in line with the third point of the Nawa Cita program, namely developing Indonesia from the periphery by strengthening regions and villages within the framework of a unitary state.
